#3529 RE: trevorbc #3527

I wonder how many employees at FSLR
are dedicated to module production
instead of solar cell production?
Half?

Solterra's simplified screened inkjet
printing process will require smaller
factory footprint and # of employees.

Solterra has stated they will manufacture
solar cells as opposed to finished
solar modules which will make the
Solterra part of the process much
smaller. Farming out the finishing of
the product saves the hardware costs
of metalwork and allows the buyer
more choices for packaging, along
with lower finished cost for product.
Transportation costs also halved because
finishing can be done economically locally,
especially for large area grid solar farms
making a GW of solar cells modules and mounts.

Creates a symbiotic relationship between
manufacturer and buyer. Perfect fit for
CPC - Construction Holding, Vision and Fame
subsidiaries in SA! Would be nice, looking
forward to finding out if we are right!

Happy Labor Day for the Americans, the rest
of you, take the rest of the day off! LOL
