John, you had me at your first post. Sadly you had to add, “Why do you care if someone promotes the stock? Well, let me spell it out so you can understand. The wealth of a country is measured by what its people produce, not what they steal from one another. Lesson # 1, Economics 101!
Neither is wealth created when people dishonestly extract monies under false pretences. The whole community is damaged by such conduct. When wealth flows unabated from honest people to dishonest people the culture is severely eroded. That’s why we have laws, police, courts and prisons.
A few years ago a night guard at a large bakery here in the valley told his neighbor about all the old bread they threw away every night. The neighbor started buying it from the guard and every Sunday he would sell it for half price at a local flee market. A lot of the bread was moldy or spoiled. Because it was a brand name people would often take the bread to their local store and exchange it for good bread. For years the bakery could not understand why there was so much bad bread coming back from this one area.
When they finally arrested this guy he explained that he thought what he was doing was OK, it was just the market place. He bought the bread cheap and sold it at a profit like any other business. Who got hurt?
The jury did not agree. This guy clearly knew that the product was discarded, potentially dangerous to the community and that its value was -0-. The fact that an unknowing public would buy it did not exonerate his actions. The court found that this guy’s action not only damaged the community who bought the rotten bread but it damaged the reputation of this bakery and all similar bakeries in the community.
You have made it very clear that you know that Coates has knowingly sold some $22,267,993 worth of stock to an unknowing buying public which now has a value of -0-.
You now contend that it is perfectly OK for the company and people on this web site to "pump up" the stock and sell it at a profit. Is that really your position John? And you don’t see how the entire investing community is damaged by this? Really John is that your new TRUTH? You have explained how Coates” reputation is damaged by his actions, how about your reputation for taking this stand John? My question John,inlight of the truth you previously expounded, is “Why don’t you care if someone promotes this stock?
