Consider the following possible scenario to account for the recent strength and price action -

The 1,200,000 shares in calls that existed last Friday may actually have been called. Those may have been either naked calls or calls written by an institution or individual who didn't want to reduce their position. This would have created a demand for the shares that would have added to the volume about an amount equal to what the average daily amount has been.

Given the price action and volume in the face of the overall market behavior, the stock picked up some more fast money buying interest.

It is of interest that the pps has not tracked the indexes that it held in for the last two days.
