I think its a step forward for the company. As tech progresses both CPU and GPU will become combined. Intel is already doing this with with their i3, i5, and i7 series chips and is taking it to another level with the upcoming Sandy Bridge lineup.

AMD has some awesome products but when it comes to 'enthusiast' performance (cad, design, games) Intel really has a step up on them. I'm hoping with AMD's Bulldozer puts some pressure on Intel and the next Radeon release thumps Nvidia's Fermi lineup.
