Yea, its a combination of multiple improvements for sure. It's hard to pinpoint which features contribute to how much as the details aren't fully out in the open.

I'm expecting general tweaks to reduce the instruction latency, plus some front end changes in addition to the cache improvements. We'll see yet another 2-3% improvement with the 8MB L3 version, probably biggest gains will be in games. I wonder if we'll see the "2 core" GPU on the i7 2600? :)
