The wife 'n I went to one of the kids new apartment, 15 minutes in, she had to use an inhaler, 3-4 minutes later and it was getting worse, we had to leave. (The prior occupant had 2 cats, but the irritant was still there 6 months later.) They had the carpets shampooed, and then she was OK. (But still used the inhaler.)
