Windows XP Pro x64 is available for public download in RC1 form, and RC2 just went out today to beta testers, and supposedly will be available to the public soon (but that is according to THG.)

There is no "home" version (yet).

I've only seen Pro. I suspect that the reasoning is that the
home user doesn't need 64-bit. Also that they probably don't
want to have to deal with technical issues using 64-bit.

There won't be retail versions of the OS. It comes in an OEM-flavour. Based on the Pro-version.

Asked this on the INTC board, but no answer yet. Is the 64b version of windows available in both "home" and "pro" versions? Or is only one of them available? I know some of you are using it, but wondering which version...

I have not seen a Home ver. yet.

Installed RC1, preety solid as far as I can see. I would think they will have a Home version at some point, but who knows.
