...but could not CSHD be called another name with no trouble, and all the longs be compensated?

By whom would the longs be "compensated"? Where would the money come from?

If you are referring to "CSHD" as the company, then by all means the name can be changed. If you are referring to the ticker symbol "CSHD", that does NOT belong to conversion...that is assigned by NASDAQ. NASDAQ assigns a typical 4 letter code to the companies that trade the NASDAQ. In some cases, they will assign a 5 letter code for a particular company based on various reasons or classes of stock ( such as an "E" for companies that have filing issues with the SEC). The NYSE and AMEX uses a 3 letter or less letter code for companies that trade on the them.

Again, these "codes" or "ticker symbols" or "stock tickers" are not owned by the company they identify. Companies can request specific tickers based on their company name, and usually do as an additional means of advertising...such as BUD for Anheuser-Bush. They don't always get them, but the exchanges do try to accomodate.

As far as the shareholders being compensated...a name change doesn't do a thing for the lost money. Now if by some miracle Rufiah was to win this current case, AND get the previous lost case overturned...AND can show proof that whomever is liable for the loses incurred...AND gets a judgment...And is able to recover money....then maybe, quite possibly in a few years, someone may see a few nickels.

I believe that all might happen right after Rufiah opens his hooters franchise in the moon base he's building.

Who would do something like that and why?
