I've been trading options for 3 years now and still screw up on them all the time. Let me just say timing is absolutely everything...

Paper trade them to start and watch how they react on news, premium is what it's all about...

Just remember to play both ways - buy calls and puts on the same stock and watch support and resistance levels. I do ok that way. Limits losses.
