I don't think "a lot of scans" will serve to describe the movement.
In my opinion, this is why NSR is taking some aggressive moves into this arena.

Oh, and let's not forget the fact that the true potential and possibilities of the Mobile market is only now beginning to be perceived, so you can imagine how much more interest will be injected into this technology as well as other mobile technologies once the entire marketing market moved into the "Mobile Is A MUST Stage" . Now, I am of the opinion that Mobile will be, to be conservative, 10 times as big as the Personal Computer, so you can do the math.
Soon, we will see a smart phone in the hands of most of the world, and it's multiplying ten times, if not faster than the PC ever did.

Addtionally I genuinely expect that whatever carriers are signed with NeuStar for SMS would be signing again for the backend ecosystem as well...
