I am especially fond of "Fantastic Contraption," on the iPad, as well as iPhone. But any of the many physics puzzlers and "psychedelic" particle toys are also fun for a distraction.

Have you checked out "Osmos?" Challenging, but also relaxing and captivating, and especially beautiful on the iPad.
