Lets see....If I take my avg elec bill per month (200) divide it by 150000 and I get 62.5 years worth of electric that is powing my whole house. Or would I rather spend 150000 on 2 small units that only produce enough to to run the bulbs on the mary-go-round (if that). hhmmmmmmm. Thats also if the 1.0kw puts out that. We already have seen that the 3.5 only produces up to 1.5. Wow what a deal. Boy this will put windtamer right up there with the bigboys (GE) in how much govt money does it take to make everyone feel good. Thats what i signed up for....how about you????

Mferraro, you are 100% right. The Betz limit claims are perhaps the most egregious. If you use the diameter at the back end of the WT, it is no better than most turbines and in fact is worse than some of the better turbines.
Plus they like to claim you can use a short tower; you've got to put the turbine where the fuel is - high up.
Perhaps if you lived near a lake on top of a hill then you might be OK with their tower, but otherwise installing one of these is just throwing $$ away.
I don't think they will last long. (3-4yrs tops)
