Elmer, Re: QQQs (actually more QQQs) are starting to look very attractive now. We are about 85% off the highs of ~2 years ago. I'm preparing for a major return to the market and QQQs will be my main vehicle. INTC will be there too but I will wait for better semiconductor market conditions first.

I'm wondering if Ralph Acampora will sell me his Intel shares for $4.00. <VBG>

Elmer, looks like AMD's 2400+ CPUs are still MIA! I guess you can just about count October as a non-revenue month for AMD in terms of CPUs.

Whatever meager volumes AMD was able to rush out last week has evaporated. Pricewatch is showing ETA dates from nearly all the vendors. This week, only ONE seems to have a 2400+ in stock, while the 2600+ isn't even mentioned at many vendors. Some are even showing November dates for availability. I suspect AMD's Q4 sales aren't going to see much of an improvement over Q3.

- Accubyte is showing 10/29 ETA for 2400+, while the 2600+ is not even mentioned.
- SonicParts seems to have a 2400+ part IN STOCK, but the 2600+ is not even mentioned.
- Mstar is showing 2400+ as NOT IN STOCK, and 2600+ is not even mentioned.
- CBWnet is showing 2400+ with 10/28 ETA and 2600+ with 11/4 ETA.
- PC Progress is showing 10/14 ETA for 2400+ and 2600+.
- Monarch Computers says the following for the 2400+: "Update from AMD. Limit 2 per customer. All orders placed by Oct. 6th will start shipping on Oct. 24th. These parts are going to be very allocated for 2-3 weeks. We ship orders first come first serve." The 2600+ is not even mentioned. (Looks like Monarch never had any in stock to begin with!)
- Lynn Computer has 2400+ with ETA of early-mid October and 2600+ with ETA of mid-late October.
- Spartan is showing 10/14 ETA for 2400+ and 2600+.
- COMPUTERHQ has both 2400+ and 2600+ labeled as "DUE IN", but currently seems unavailable.
