OT: HrH - Regarding MacIsle's advice...
I'm not sure that listening to someone who gets advice about how to deal with his wife from a course on "husbandry" (the application of scientific principles to agriculture, especially to animal breeding) is a wise idea.
Wouldn't the best advice regarding how to deal with women be from other women?
Being of that gender myself, I advise that using 3 simple words - "I was wrong" - when you actually were wrong, can quickly end further discussion of your blunder. To do anything else invites an escalating presentation of evidence and continued discussion of how truly wrong you really were.
Perhaps if Mr. MacIsle took my advice, he would not need to be taking courses on applying scientific principles to breeding as breeding activity might then occur naturally.
