I'm not trying to attack you.. I'm just honestly curious what you were thinking when you decided to short at 9.40.. Where were you planning on covering? I understand with this not being able to hold any substantial gains, it has been a better short than long lately.. Just curious how you see the risk/reward at 9.40 and where you were planning on exiting.
Hey, I'm not judging one way or the other. This is trading...if the PPS sucks blame the company or the IR not a trader. While I hope you loose big (which would be required for me to win big) it's all about making money in trades you think will work. Anyone who takes it personally should not be trading.
That said, I do feel you have taken a rather risky position.
Sorry but I don't see any "attacks" on my part and also not from others. Naturally "shorts" are not the most loved guys (gals) around here. lol
But that said I like to get behind the reasons why anyone would short the stock here at these levels. Seriously. Usually one can't have a reasonable discussion with a short so that's why I tried.
So what you are saying is that you were the person sitting at the 9.40 ask for 50k shares while all of us were wondering who in the world is selling all these shares at this level? Heck I got really worried seeing this and now you tell me that was a fat finger? Now that is funny indeed and good to know. I like.
Nobody's attacking you, most like myself are just wondering why anyone would short at this price range when if the markets hold up CCME might just turn the corner.
I think its unwise to short a stock unless there are problems with the fundamentals, dillution, or if the stock just ran up way too fast on no news. Also, I don't like shorts when I'm long and think its very risky, even stupid to short a stock like CCME which could pop at a moments notice.
