In Case You Missed It Dept.:

The White House swapped ten captured spies to Russia Wednesday in exchange for four captured U.S. spies jailed in Moscow. It doesn't inspire confidence. This White House can't even swap spies without running up a sixty percent deficit in the exchange.

Commerce Secretary Gary Locke revealed the new U.S. trade policy Friday. He introduced a plan that will double the number of U.S. exports to other countries in the next two years. We are going to turn Mexico around and make it face the other way.

The Justice Department asked a judge to halt Arizona's immigration law Tuesday on foreign policy grounds. It's also about values. The White House believes that America will always be the land of the free, the home of the brave and every Mexican's Plan B.

Tipper Gore said Friday she does not believe Al assaulted a masseuse. She left him for other reasons. Every time they would fly together, his Oscar, Emmy and Nobel Prize would fall out of the overhead compartment during turbulence and crack her skull.

The White House stated Monday the administration is going to focus on lowering unemployment. We know what this means. The next time there's a job opening in the private sector, President Obama's going to announce it in an hour-long special on ESPN.

Bill Clinton officiated at the wedding of Hillary Clinton's aide to a New York congressmen Sunday. Al Gore is getting divorced, John Edwards is getting divorced and Bill Clinton is officiating at wedding ceremonies. Nobody knew that the bridge to the twenty-first century would drop us off in the middle of a Twilight Zone episode.

The White House denied Monday that NASA head Charles Bolden was tasked by President Obama to use NASA to make Muslims feel better about themselves, as he'd said Friday in two interviews. That would make the head of our space program a serial liar. This only encourages people who think the moon landing happened on a sound stage in Culver City.

The NAACP proposed that Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch be made into a California park. Roman Polanski can't believe he sold his mansion in Hollywood. He could have held onto the house and the state would have turned it into a shrine to his love life.

Bill Clinton came to the White House Wednesday to counsel President Obama on how to placate an angry business community. He reassured the president that as soon as he loses the House, capitalism will come back to him. It's like riding a bicycle.

Senate Democrats passed a financial reform bill Thursday which says nobody can sell a financial product that people don't understand. From now on the only kind of lending that will be legal is loan sharking. Everybody understands a baseball bat.

Arizona's immigration law was argued in a U.S. court in Phoenix Thursday. Outside the court opponents and supporters of the law squared off. It was funny to watch Southerners and Mexicans telling each other to recognize it when they've lost the war.

BP engineers succeeded in capping the gulf well Thursday. It was capped just as the financial reform bill passed Congress. This was the day that everything that's going wrong stopped being the oil companies' fault and started being the banks' fault.

President Obama promised House Democrats he will do everything he can to help get them re-elected this fall. For Democrats, re-election is a life and death issue. Nancy Pelosi will jump off the Golden Gate Bridge before she flies commercial again.

A lot of people continue to be very upset that we can’t get Osama bin Laden. Osama bin Laden? We can’t even get Roman Polanski.

This week, China gave a vote of confidence in the U.S. dollar. You know why? Because they own them all.

The White House announced that the stimulus package saved 3 million jobs. But they said there are still jobs that need to be saved — President Obama’s, Joe Biden’s, Harry Reid’s, and Nancy Pelosi’s.
