USMCBULLDOG- I dont know if Laws/Statutes are in place for what you do with "winnings" as much as how they are in place for how you "win" it in the first place... buy feel free to RE-READ the letter that has been brought to my attention, I get a kick out of it...

In fact, here I'll just make it easy and quote the finding for ya :)

Federal law currently provides:

Whoever being engaged in the business of betting or wagering knowingly uses a wire communication facility for the transmission in interstate or foreign commerce of bets or wagers or information assisting in the placing of bets or wagers on any sporting event or contest, or for the transmission of a wire communication which entitles the recipient to receive money or credit as a result of bets or wagers, or for information assisting in the placing of bets or wagers, shall be fined not more than $10,000 or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.[2]

again could be wrong, could be dinosaur law, but looks clear to me until shown otherwise what transpired on that CC is interestingly close to say the least

Perhaps you should forward this info to Fl. Governor Charlie Crist before this turns into a big time election scandal in his run for the Senate...Crist--who used to be Fl. Atty General--is a betting fool...Lord, help him and us...

More than the SEC championship and national title hopes will be on the line this Saturday at the SEC championship game in Atlanta, the governor's office says in a press release:

"Alabama Governor Bob Riley and Florida Governor Charlie Crist have a friendly wager on the game. If the Crimson Tide rolls to victory, Governor Riley will receive a box of Florida oranges from Governor Crist. If the Gators somehow manage a win, Governor Crist will enjoy a rack of ribs from Dreamland Bar-b-que, courtesy of Governor Riley.

Gov. Charlie Crist, who will attend the game in Atlanta, made a friendly wager on the outcome of the game with Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland. Crist pledged to send Strickland Florida coconuts, grapefruit, oranges and key lime pie if the Buckeyes defeat the Gators.

The two governors also made a wager in January when Florida defeated Ohio State in the football championship. Strickland sent Crist chocolate buckeyes and flew the Gator flag over his residence for a day.
