No, how money is used is the root of all evil. Money is never the root of all evil. That is a fallacy.

Sorry, no can do. Where I am, God is. I'm not the most righteous person there is and there's plenty I could stand to fix, just means I need Him by my side that much more.

No sir....I am sorry but the Love of money is the root of all evil...not the money itself!

Disagree - I think the boards are about people, and people are interested, or you might say, if you weren't afraid of stringing together more than two sentences, say, in a post like this; you might say that that people are driven by all kinds of things. It's ridiculous if you think about it for more than five seconds to believe or to even entertain the notion that what people really want is money. People want much more than money, or else we'd all be happy all the time when we had it, right? People want what money represents to them, what they hope it will buy for them, or what it will help them obtain. So you really get to the true person when you watch what they do with money, or listen to what they say about it, don't you? It's a pretty shallow idea to imagine that all people want to do on these boards, and especially this one from what I've read, is talk about money, pps, and other shallow, greedy stuff. Uh - what I mean is that it's shallow and greedy when it's all you talk about. There's plenty of good reading about greed on these boards, I can't take that away from you - but I still think the boards are about the people and their interests. Apparently, a number on this board are interested in God, perhaps because they believe what the authors of the scriptures believed, that God gives the ability to create wealth, that wealth is good if it's used for good, and that whether in small or great ways, honoring God is actually quite a bit more satisfying, and safer, than trying to just get rich, buy what you want, and go your merry way - at least until disaster strikes that you can't buy your way out of.

If you've read this far - others have already pointed out that the tired phrase 'money is the root of all evil' is only partly true, but I'll admit, so widely used and believed that it qualifies as sort of a worldwide, timeless, deeply-entrenched myth. Give it up already. People are good at being evil, obviously, as well as being capable of great good too - so I guess what you do with money, or anything, tells you (and others) whether good or evil is your main interest, in given circumstances.

Have fun with your money.

Denizens - I appreciate the chance to offer a first (if wordy) post here, though I've stopped in to read here and there. I like this board, and I think you offer a lot to iHub.

Best
