dkspartan1, If the short shares do not cover in 3 days they become ftd's and are naked shorts. You can actually check out how many shares become naked short by the website failstodeliver.com. If you check the site out you will see that in a 5 week period in 2010 there were about 400 million shares that were ftd. in our LBSR. This is bad in that it dilutes the shares the same as if the company was raising the os. It is also against the Law for mm,s not to cover their shorts.
