Where can I find the Coates EPA certificate? My search of the EPA certified engine list did not show any results for the Coates engine.

Also if the shaft onto which the ball valves are pined is water cooled that is about an inch way from the face of the valve. Steel has a u value of about 26 so unless the water was up in the lip of the ball there is no way the steel ball can conduct the heat away fast enough to keep the ball's surface below the combustion temperature of carbon. Especially when you consider that the delta T is in the range of 1500 degrees. With water at 200 and the exhaust gasses at 1700.

This is the same math that has been destructive to other design attempts at rotary exhaust valves. The physics is just not there, nor is the EPA certificate look it up on the EPA web site or better yet call them.

I don't have a dog in this fight. I just hate to see people given false hope.
