Hi Bob... I think the X10 is a good idea too, especially if you're trying to catch a renter(s) who are repeatedly vandalizing the front lobby of a condominium complex.
...but the young teenage girl thing-- sick... totally sick.
Re the X-10 system, be aware that transmissions from the wireless models can be picked up with an inexpensively modified laptop, so, in effect, you may actually be transmitting pictures of what is going on in your house, including audio, to anybody driving by.
Of course, because you have so much land, this might not be a problem in your particular situation. <g>
