Answers To "Twelve" Questions

Scale of 1-10, how do u rate the trailer?
And the interview/clip on Leno last night?
Also, how much money does this movie have to make to break even?
I think its gonna be a close one.

Like movies, ones preference for a Trailer is a personal issue. I personally liked the original Twelve Trailer better, with a 9 rating. Some have said the new Trailer is for a "G" Rating, I would give it a 7.

I thought Emma Roberts did good on The Tonight Show. She was personable, likeable (much better than the Twilight guy). The Clip shown was OK, it demonstrated their acting skills instead of sensationalizing the movie. Hannover was limited in the Clip selection, because obviously it had to contain Emma, and her role in Twelve is as "The Good Girl".

The great part of Emma on Leno, is the show was a Repeat, so the 2nd time Emma, Twelve Talk and Twelve Clip on National TV of 3.5 Million Viewers ?

The Breakeven on Twelve without factual numbers is not known exactly, this might be a rough estimate.

$2 M to acquire the film plus $2 M P&A = $4 M total.
Box-office split with theaters is about 50/50.
$8 M in gross = $4 M back to Hannover.

That is not the end, when Twelve is done in Theaters, we have the After Theaters Markets. DVD + Blu Ray Sales and Rentals, Video-On-Demand, HBO, Cable and the Internet.

Some one here quoted Eric as saying the DVD Sales typically account for about 1/2 of a Films Profits. So as a general rule, a profit equation is about (1/2 Theater Sales + 1/2 DVD Sales = Films Profits). All Films are different, some might have higher Theater Sales and others might have lower.

Fortune, here's my take on your Twelve questions:

1. Scale of 1 to 10 for trailer, 8. It's effective at showcasing the film, although they've had to make it viewable for all audiences so it takes away from some of the story. Still, a quality looking film from the trailer.

2. Interview of Emma Roberts was good. Typical young adult today. More than likely very relatable to peers - which is the target audience here. Great second PR for the film IMO.

3. We need to do $8 million in the box office to break even. Unless this is released to small, Nascar markets only, I think we'll be fine there. We'll really heat up as we move it to the DVD/VOD market. The box office numbers are the key to watching. As soon as we hit $8 million, we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

Go TDGI!

Trailer-I give the latest trailer a 9 because I think it makes the movie look better than what it is.

Interview-Emma Robert's did great, I didn't expect any better

Break even-$8M

I believe Twelve needs to be in as many theatres as possible from the get go, it's not a slow roll/word of mouth type movie. How it does at the box office is going to be determined by how many theatres they can get it into.IMO
