#2727 RE: Solar_Express #2726

P.E. - I have seen commercial inkjet printers that
print the polyvinyl (not photovoltaic) that goes on
the side of buses. They are huge printers and
theoretically can make large thin film panels,
which of course should be cheaper to produce
than many smaller panels. Bigger is better.
The solar panel inkjet printer could be that size.
But yes, they can make small panels for streetlights
and stoplights and recharging your phone too.

There are many kind of quantum dots, nanotubes,
and all sorts of shapes and materials. Where
the Tetrapod QD will shine should be the high end,
for medical displays and TVs requiring higher
resolution, brightness or luminescence. IMHO.

What's also possible is putting chips on the panel
and antennas for transmitting status wirelessly.
Smart panels. It could happen.
