Bo - You make an excellent post and one that illudes many on this board. Those closer to the situation are far less worried about such actions and that should give those with both less vested interest and knowledge peace of mind.

I find it amuzing that some shareholders are at one in the same time wishing China was signed and done while worrying at the same time about copyright infringment. I strongly suggest that these two events are growing on the same branch at CTC. Namely, as IR and those in the know have said publicly, the agreement is progessing BUT the company is moving to act in ITS BEST INTEREST AND THE BEST INTEREST OF THE LONG TERM SHAREHOLDER. The company is clearly aware that such issues need to be addressed - and guess what - they are doing just that.

As one closer to the ground than many with CTC I can tell you that they are being fanatical about IP protection be it with their potential JVs, partnernships, and even employee agreements. They have engaged the brightest minds in IP strategy in the country and are being extremely thourough with their execution. As Derx said the other day, they will not let the tail wag the dog, and clearly CTC is the dog. Good luck to all and thanks for the book suggestions.

My thoughts exactly.

I do not understand the thinking that says we are better off not being in China. I agree with your rationale, but even if there were real problems with IP theft, what is better - to get no revenues or market expansion at all by avoiding China, or milk the revenues from China for as long as you can and make money before they rip you off? It would also help open up other Asian markets.

Again, I don't believe the paranoia is valid anyway, but I can't think why anyone would say to not sign an agreement with the Chinese.

On china - are we not selling machines to the chinese - and giving them the recipe to make the core in their own house -- our partners are the chinese - a major supplier to the government - for them to make the big bucks, they have a vested interest in protecting our interests.

Hello My Pet Bo,
You make a reasonable case. However, CTC is a 'new' company. Just starting to turn some income. Can the company at this point in its developement, afford the risk that its tech be appropriated and its product undercut in the market? Let China buy the equipment 2nd or third hand. Rick
