I've been thinking about this a lot the last couple of days. Even if the numbers are bad, I don't see why he would choose to hide it. He's obviously been pretty open about some other not so great news recently.

Perhaps they are still finalizing what the process will be going forward, and maybe he wants to include all of this information in one big PR. So he waits until round 2 is finalized before announcing the results from the 2 week test.

Nothing more than a guess, but just as good as any other guess at this point.
