"Wild Hunt"

Ebert mentioned "Lord of the Flies";

Released in 1990, grossed 13.8million Today's #'s probably 18 million.

I saw Lord of the flies back then (my Maryjane days) and it was the movie to see for that time. Not having seen "wild Hunt" I can't compare the two but I think that they will draw the same type of crowd.

I also think word of mouth will play a big part for "Wild Hunt" if the movie gets some run time.
I expect a surprise from "Wild Hunt" MHO

The Wild Hunt, in my opinion, could end up like The Highlander. I don't know how old most of you are but when The Highlander first came out it was not that big of a hit. The movie only made $2,453,021 on its opening weekend and ended up making $5,735,847 domestically. But it was a MONSTER in video rentals.

I think The Wild Hunt has that potential as well. It may not be a huge box office draw, but I could see it really taking off in the DVD sales, rental, and VOD area. Even though it's about LARPers, it will have an appeal to anyone that plays fantasy role playing games like Everquest, World of Warcraft, etc. which is tens of millions of people. And the thing about those games, word spreads FAST if something cool is going on.

From there it could build into a real cult classic in my opinion.
