With this new developement, I can see where existing lines are all the more critical and in need of upgrading with CTC efficient lines. This could possible force China to push harder for getting their present grid to supply more. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. Bill

We don't have enough information to determine if it has a material effect or not. Cptc's Jt Venture partner was supposed to be largest power cable company in China.

I would bet money that our Jt Venture partner was planning on selling to some of these projects. If you build a new power plant or enlarge an existing one, you need more power lines to connect to the grid.

It is unlikely that China will hold up crucial projects that long. They need the Three Gorges Dam Project fully producing and sending power to the industrial East Coast. May reduce near term sales but save Jt Venture from a crash in the market if they had overbuilt as the govt seems to believe.

Waiting for significant sales or Jt Venture announcement.
