Hi Pd, if you read my posts #84 tru #87, plus the stickys, and #160 that I just posted, you'll probably get a good idea of what's going on. Also check out their website at AMCI Website I'm sure you will probably better understand a lot of the tech stuff from their site.
However, I can add some personal history. I've known Bruce Bacon and Steve Watwood from the very beginning of AMCI. The original funding group took them (kicking and screaming) into the public arena as funding groups often do. “If you want the money to develop your ideas, then you have to “go public”.” So they reversed them into Energy Optics and the rest is history. When that money ran out (again, as it often does), they stopped paying the $100K Plus per year to stay “reporting” so they could survive. They moved from my facility here in Florida (I sold it years ago) and relocated back to Colorado (Steve's home).
As is obvious, they never gave up on their technology. Just as they were instrumental in generating a lot of new and innovative technology (Bruce was and is a highly regarded engineer and one of the smartest tech guys I've ever known and Steve is the consummate business workhorse), they are now moving into the new era of stock trading.
So it's clear for anyone to see that even after all these years, I am still very fond of these guys and I can't wait to see how the market will react to their “soon to be public” financials.
