Here's how it works. Certain strains of algae can grow in various climates and water conditions.

Also, there are many strains of algae that produce Omega 3 oil. So, the oil that is yielded in the cold water, can also be yielded in the barren desert.

Out of the multitude of strains available to us, we've chosen the ones that yield the most in desert conditions.

WHY?

Because that's where we're putting our PBR.

WHY?

Because that's where it was most advantageous for us to do so, for many reasons (financial, environmental, etc).

So, if your cold water fishies wanted some omega 3 to warm them up, we could feed them with our desert-produced omega 3.
