Freegrass, your post #6 on the Nanotechnology IHub Boardhas the author Colvin. I reread this article on the original discovery of the TQD synthesis discovery and found her as one of the team -

Quantum Dot Recipe May Lead To Cheaper Solar Panels

Excerpts:

The research, by scientists at Rice's Center for Biological and Environmental Nanotechnology (CBEN), appears this week in the journal Small.

and

CBEN's formula, which was developed by Wong and his graduate student Subashini Asokan with CBEN Director Vicki Colvin and graduate student Karl Krueger, produces same-sized particles, in which more than 90 percent are tetrapods.

So while the research is not directly related to QMC, it is by
someone who developed the synthesis process and therefore, may be advancing the process in some way.

I am excited by this Michael S. Wong paper
Three-dimensional liquid surfaces through nanoparticle self-assembly.

- I just noticed that it did use CdSe
nanoparticles, and they mention strong
adhesion in the process. They are making
progress in encapsulating the solar cell.
I know there are products on the market
that have strong lifetime characteristics
as a final coat so it is possible QMC has
a system they can guarantee for a score
of years.
