losmashrt, that's what George likes to claim in his NeoMedia case study. Makes for a good ego stroke if nothing else.

Iain was brought into NeoMedia in early 2008 in a consulting role by Chip Hoffman. By the end of April 2008 he was appointed Senior VP of Business Development, and would go on to become CEO a month later.

Chip didn't play ball with YA, and well ... I think JP sums it up best:

This will all make for a very interesting tell all book one day.

Best,
Sean

No. GO brought in CH through a very expensive and high-end professional head hunting firm via a best selection competitive process that cost the company well in excess 1/3 CH's salary for the 1st year. CH was also replaced when he wanted to continue building out the IP exclusively with ATT and wanted to sell Gavitec for $5Mil. to help fund this endeavor. Also, his then CFO FP brought in a PI to investigate just where NeoMedia's $800k disappeared to from paint that was sold to Automart, a Beijing-based joint venture (operating under the laws of the People's Republic - a political organization founded and controlled by a national Communist party of China) that specializes in automobile sales, financing, insurance and repair. PS actually brought in IM, as they were both long standing friends. PS also pressured TG to resign. PS was also quoted by BR last June 09 that "big things were in the pipeline".
