I am under the impression GreenSafe's plant is much, much larger in scale and scope than Adelmann's customers in Europe.
Greensafe could save a lot of capital by leasing a vacant auto manufacturing facility in Windsor or elsewhere, of which there are many. I walked through one cavernous building available for a song -- there are no visible customers for these spaces - we joked there was room for an indoor rink and soccer field for the employees, with plenty of space left over for assembly lines. I have no idea why someone would need to build a new building when so many spaces exist with plenty of utility power, rail links, and politicians dying to fill them.
The check was just a prop, whether or not it theoretically could be presented to a bank. BGMO had no cash and press releases said Herzog was heading to the Middle East over Christmas for the "closing". I don't know what Swire knew about BGMO's funding situation.
