thanks dadgummit, very interesting. so added companies equal removed companies! i take this to mean that the shorters move on to new targets as they are forced to settle certain positions? these people just can't be stopped.

I believe that you and Zstevek have the correct interpretation on the PR. Why in the world would Universal put out a PR in the first place, if they had no intention of implementing the agreement?

The fact that the carefully chosen wording (courtesy of attorneys) leaves Universal the greatest possible freedom in the way in which implementation takes place, and in the speed with which this happens will not stop Universal from going forward. That is in their very best interest! I expect all this to move fast. The doubters should bear in mind that this is the only solution that is available in the US, that it creates no playability concerns and that, as shown by the experience of Contraband with Velvet Revolver, customers really like this solution.
