That is what the E-Trade representative said, but I'm not convinced. He put me on hold several times for several minutes each as he tried to gather info. Said it was just developing as is obvious by the MM action. Maybe other brokers could help fill in this picture.

Let's wait for the official news. But that would make it worth $3.5 a share if i did my math correctly.

Agree, mindless! Scrapping ATNP all together would be a huge curve ball. Assuming the new GOTV shares trade at similar levels and considering I just got in in APRIL but accumulated 80% of my 7 m shared post the April 23rd dividends (I missed the earlier rounds) I will be left with 1450 shares of GOTV or .0002% of my investment. I can't believe that would happen and maintain optimism that both stocks will trade seperately!

Is it really worth debating an unfounded rumor that was apparently stated by an unknown representative of an unrelated company of ATNP?

Etrade doesn't know squat and the "May or may not" statement is just someone admitting that they don't know Schlitz.

"May or May not" is just another way of saying "I don't know".

...And now people are starting to clamor on about the fear that 'may or may not' happen based on an etrade telephone support staffer who "doesn't know any more than you or I" or as he put it "May or may not", happen.

ATNP staffers are the ones to listen to, not the "may or may not know anything" telephone support staff at an unrelated company.
