The only parallel I can think of was the alaskan oil spill of a ship called the valdes or such. I think exon owned them. I'm not sure if comparisons are correct but it looks as the gulf disaster is more pervasive because the gulf is built up. Yet exon survived.
Citi bank and other entities crashed recently yet if timed right presented some oportunities if bought at the bottom. But no one has that insight .
