Really good point. While the results are interesting, it couldn't have been blinded. Were there other cofactors between the two groups such as weight loss, or another unknown variable? From another angle, in animal models AMPA receptor modulation does influence cranial nerve 12(tongue muscle) and I believe 7(facial tone). Is there some reciprocal feedback loop influenced by exercise?
