In order of probability (IMO):

1. (90.000%) New shares are issued, and the common share holder is wiped out.
2. (09.999%) Old shares are retained, and the common share holder is happy.
3. (00.001%) Old shares are retained, a R/S is performed, and the common shareholder may or may not be happy depending on price movement after the R/S.

Why are we giving so much credence to the most unlikely of possibilities?
