It is kind of pathetic that an investor points to splash screens and "acknowledgements" as signs of success. If this were a real company, investors would be talking about revenues, sales, and profits as measures of success.

EDIG has been selling these things to APS for well over a year, APS has signed many airlines and ordered thousands of units. But despite that, EDIG is in horrible financial condition. They have debt that they can not repay, owe money to vendors, they just have about printed the maximum allowable number of shares, have the largest working capital deficient they have ever had, and they haven't signed a new deal in forever.

So if the digeplayer is so wildly successful, and EDIG is such a big piece of that, why are they claiming in their SEC filings that they do not foresee turning a profit anytime soon?

But that splash screen sure must make you fell warm at night!!!

gernb1: You did not answer my question as to how a flash file management system could "power" a portable media player. Is that because you have no answer? Your only "proof" is what e.Digital specified to the manufacturer to put on the start up screen???

First of all, although he is an innovative entrepreneur with a good idea that he very successfully brought to market, I doubt that Bill Boyer has any idea what MOS does or doesn't do. Ray Henson is probably the person who introduced him to e.Digital, but he may have been remembering the hype of the early days.

IMO, e.Digital probably convinced Boyer that MOS was the powerhouse of the system and that all. I doubt he knows much about DSPs vs. file management systems.

For all Boyer probably knows, he did license some innovative technology from e.Digital. I wouldn't be surprised if he knows nothing of Ittiam's involvement. I think he was busy selling to airlines instead of researching internal technology.

APS has been by far the most profitable and highest revenue customer for e.Digital. They paid over $300,000 in NRE fees (multiple times the highest NRE fees any other customer has paid). How would Boyer know if that was appropriate? What did they get for that? According to the message board guru's e.Digital says they still own everything about the device except the exterior design and that APS can only go through them for all orders.

APS also negotiated so poorly that thhe left an additional gross profit to e.Digital of over $100/unit just to oversee manufacturing (taking away from their own potential profit). Boyer was a dream come true for e.Digital. Neither of the other two big customers (Lanier and Softeq) were anywhere near as profitable.

In reality, Boyer would find that mentioning Ittiam's technolgy (DSP) would be much more impressive than mentioning e.Digital in his PRs. But why should he mention the internal technology anyway? It's irrelevant to APS' customers and takes the spotlight away from the digEplayer.

You seem to be exactly the kind of investor that e.Digital can sway with things like the start-up screen on the digEplayer. They are very good at knowing what it takes to convince their most ardent supporters over and over again that great things are just around the corner and how to make suggestions that are received as facts.

Is is possible that it is you who is blinded by the reality of what has been going on with e.Digital all of these years? Have you ever looked at the history of this company and its years of false and misleading statements with objectivity?
