#7 RE: megazoo #4

Hi Megazoo-- i was going to ask Maj about occasionally allowing folks to post about Canadian stocks, and my Canadian stock-of-choice for some months has been BEV. The expected qrtrly EPS is more like 0.25 to 0.30 each of the next 3 qrtrs--virtually guaranteed revenues from the Ontario govt for cleaning-via-incineration heavily contaminated soils in Ontario (the ongoing Pottersburg project). A perceived weakness of the co. was whether they would be getting subsequent contracts beyond Pottersburg. CEO in recent Q4 conf call was quite positive about more big projects to come.

Also, the company is sitting on a lot of cash and can easily make an acquisition or two to grow EPS further.

Right now, with those guaranteed revs from govt, we're talking about 2010 EPS of at least 1.00, so at present pps of $2.60, that's a forward P/E of 2.6.

There's some very good discussion by longtime savvy followers of BEV at the www.Stockhouse.com website (use ticker T.BEV), and, for a less interesting but still sometimes useful site, look up the Canadian ticker BEV.TO at Yahoo Finance (don't use the U.S. ticker at Yahoo, BEVFF.PK-- the board therein is basically non-active).

The company got in trouble with the U.S. EPA on one of its projects circa 2002 and then got fined and "chastened" by the EPA circa 2006. Stock was in the toilet for two years. You could have bought it around 20 cents or less a year ago.

The fine has been paid by a new management team which has pretty much completely restored BEV's good name, and doing all the right things to create a very healthy balance sheet.

I averaged into BEV at $1.60 in late Dec. and it's taken off. In my observation, twice it has hit double tops-- first at around $2.60-$2.70, then at $3.30. With the market crash it's come back down to around $2.60. The idea is that it should pop to $4 or $5 on Q1 earnings, due next week.

BEV is well-known to a fair number of Canadian value investors and institutions yet almost entirely unknown among U.S. investors.

A really great buy right now.... If i had any more dry powder (Uggghhh), i'd be buying a bunch more right now. Btw, i have about 30,000 shares, and i'm holding all of them for the medium to longer term. I see BEV going to at least $6 this year, if not $8-$10 on announcement of any acquisition(s) and/or further contracts beyond Pottersburg.

No problem.. In the end we are just looking for great ideas. BEV looks pretty interesting. I will take a closer look and start tracking it on my site. geoinvesting.com.
