PEEKER: I have to tell you that I have been watching KU games for over 30 years and that is one of the top 3 I have ever seen. To be #2, undefeated, without your potential NCAA player of the year, to be down by 16 points in the first half against a top-10 team who beat us in the tourney last year in the elite 8 in overtime to prevent us from our 3rd consecutive final 4... And, then to come back - at home - with the most UNBELIEVABLE fans, finally taking our first lead in (yes) overtime (how's that for irony) and to win on a last second shot. You simply cannot write a script any better than that!
I want to be sure to say, however, that Jack is not only an incredible player, but a classy guy. The KU threads are just flooded with compliments about how he handled himself. After the game - when I'm sure he had to be super disappointed - he stopped to talk to some of the KU fans and told them how great they were and what a fantastic place Allen Field House was to play in. That's class!
