#2064 RE: schaef #2063

I'm not massively impressed by the discussion happening right now either.

we should agree to stop the infighting/namecalling, casting aspersions, it is not getting us anywhere.
We should try to post facts, not thoughts, opinions, views, etc, because that is all they are!
Let us only post facts and we can read and and make up our own minds.

With the lack of any information coming out from TATF's I took ABGVRN advice posted here a while back which was to contact TATF with a polite email asking for my trees to be thinned and that I would pay the costs up front. I did this for the good of the remianing good trees and asked how much it would cost to thin my 100 x 1999 teak and 200 x 2001 teak.(small fry compaired to some here). I did this on the 19th Feb and again on the 13th April and have heard nothing back.

The above is fact!

I would love to see an update come out from TATF to understand the current state,,,,,and ABGVRN before you say it, what TATF are putting on the web site is not enough!, Saying we are progressing well with value add is not enough,,,,I would like to see weekly updates,(or bi-weekly) which would take 2 min each week to post on the TATF web page,
like "Value Add" processing machines cleared customs,
Installation complete,
Commissioning in progress
First test run successful
First test run processing 1000 BF successful.
I think that sort of info would make me feel a lot better on the progress being made!
Once the value add equipment is up and running then a rough plan with timelines for processing the backlog of thinning.
If the throughput is unknown then just say so!
We know the Brunners are learning here and have only xx years experience in forestry, and TATF future landscape is changing as is the future of the whole world due to the ecconomic problems but lets see a bit more info come from TATF please.

Steve no longer reads here but if som that know tatf well please forward on the plee for more info.

Apologies for the rant!
Paul.
