In a past post he stated that he worked for another oil company, which led me to believe that anything he posted in here would have little credibility, especially if it was negative.

Negativity generates fear, and fear spurs panic...which aids short sellers in cleaning up. PPS predictions regarding buy-in points are most likely disguised trade point opportunities for the short seller so they can cover and repeat the process.
