Confirmed Clear Skies Solar projects for 2010 already create half a megawatt of solar energy

Clear Skies Solar has announced that it will be undertaking two significant renewable energy projects that will install more than 500 combined kilowatt hours of solar energy.

On Tuesday, the renewable energy solutions company announced that it would be installing a 324 kW solar energy project at a ShopRite building located at Metro Park in New Jersey. The project will be financed by the New York City-based G&S Investors.

The announcement comes soon after the announcement of their first project of 2010, the installation of a 185 kW solar energy system at a building formerly inhabited by Linens & Things in the Livingston, New Jersey Shopping Plaza. Together, the two projects cost approximately $2.1 million and will create half a megawatt of solar energy.

"Our business pipeline for 2010 is already shaping up to be very strong. There are many positive industry factors contributing to this growing pipeline including strong government incentives, attractive component pricing and the increased availability of financing for such projects," said Ezra Green, CEO of Clear Skies Solar. "As we have previously discussed, we are moving forward with our plans for expansion and for delivering to our shareholders fully financed projects and strong revenue growth"

Construction on the ShopRite building will begin soon after work begins in Livingston, with the latter project getting underway on March 2.
