To me, real-time means "as the process is occurring"
Instant could mean anything from "after the scan is completed processing is done instantly" to something approximating real-time.
When I review the website for the link you included, I don't see the word instant under any of the sub-sections describing the device though there is a lot of mention involving speed improvements.
Regardless, there will be those of us who feel the I3 product represents a value-add device to the marketplace for various reasons and those that don't.
