Yes, you can trade just a couple of hours a day. With that limited amount of time, you will probably not have a trade every day. However, you do need to make sure your trading time is not interrupted. Monk makes a point of saying that he does not even go to the bathroom after he enters a trade...until he sells. You will also learn how to swing trade at the Monkinar and those are much slower trades that you can be in for a few days.

Hi mainsqueeze,

I am trading right now, but interruptions absolutely stink. You need to pay attention and as you are going to be using the basic class settings, you should be able to do some trading. The market and the charts dictate when you are able to buy and sell, so it may not be in concert with your schedule. Do not leave a traded unwatched!! I am posting and catching up right now, but when I trade, I don't even look at anything but the charts. I am at work so it makes for an interesting day at times.

So to make a long story short, you should be able to do it and I was averaging 3-5 percent in about two hours in the AM. It is slightly easier for me as the market opens at 6:30AM here on the West coast, but you should still be able to get some trades in. Sometimes, though, no trades are good trades.

I'm in the same situation as you as far as work and limited time to watch the Fs.
In fact I'm sitting in my truck now practicing ( attented the Indy Monkinar ) and I get to sit for an hour or so about this time of day.
The Fs seem to run very flat in the afternoon? Or is it just my timing?
I've forced trades that aren't there and learned real quickly not to do that.
My new motto is " Let the trasde come to you"

I'm looking forward to the Pittsburgh Advanced class. I have lots of questions and I will be picking peoples brains that weekend :-) to see what works and what hasn't.

Mainsqueeze...you are making the correct move going to the Monkinar and getting a laptop etc. It's investing in your future!
