You are right, my $500M per quarter is probably high. Last quater, on $600M in revenue, they lost $303M, minus a tax benefit of $121M. I've been told that tax benefit is used up, and will not apply to future quarters; I don't know for sure if that's true.

Have things gotten better or worse for AMD, wrt to units and especially ASP's this quarter vs. last quarter? I suspect worse, that their total revenue will be down, and that their gross margin percent will be down. I don't imagine that they have lowered their fixed cost much.

I just don't see anything on the horizon that can raise their ASP's and revenue, without a significant revival of overall demand. Even an increase in demand, given Intel's current capacity and performance lead, might not help AMD that much.
