I'm fine. Childhood friend is very ill. There were four of us who met when we were 2-1/2 (we're 51 now) who are still in touch. I met these girls before any of my siblings landed on the planet. Bottom line... I am pretty upset these days and hence not in a writing mood... been lurking and will get back into it... but for now just lying low.
Will be heading up to VT via Albany to see her next Thursday... going to stay with a college friend overnight on the way up and back... he and I met 33 years ago this month :-)... Going to need his kindness and humor to get me through the VT leg of the trip. I am trying to psyche myself up for the party aspect... She is still breathing. This trip is not one to her funeral...
I appreciate your concern... kindness is crucial to quality of life. Thank you.
In the meantime, I am grateful for every lucid, pain-free breath I draw.
