Aml you had asked
how do you locate these gems in the rough? do you have a screening process or just pour through tons of documents?

When I am searching for a new position I often call it 'dumpster diving', I spend hours searching over companies that are coming off a 52 week low or companies that have just crossed above the 200 day moving average, that is from a chart perspective. There are also filings to read, the most useful is the 10k and the 10q filings. And I also have a network of people here that are great traders and I follow what they are playing, however I take the ticker symbol and do a complete search before i buy.

I am looking for companies that will give me a 6 month return of 300%, if they do not have that potential then I leave them in the 'dumpster' and move on. It is a gut wrenching process that takes hours and hours if not days or weeks until I find a good one.

much to learn to survive.

good luck
