I know that many people complain about the AMEX on a daily basis and see it as a possible reason why CCME is not yet going up to it's fair value but I just don't buy that arguement. Sorry. I know several Nasdaq stocks where people cry "manipulation" over and over again so I guess that's just what people do. Blame the market makers or specialists if there is a bad trading behaviour or just plain shorting.
There is shorting on the AMEX and there is shorting on the Nasdaq. I saw huge runs in many stocks we follow on the AMEX lately but also on the Nasdaq. It's the same in this regard. Tell me one thing that would prevent people from taking down CCME at the end of a trading day if the stock is listed on the Nasdaq? There is none in my view.
The only thing that is valid IMO is that on the Nasdaq people might give the stocks trading there higher PE ratios than on the AMEX, that's about the only thing I would agree. All IMO.
