#1261 RE: 46er #1258

They have three grant applications, they said. They didn't say to whom or for what or for how much.

I hope that they are asking for major federal or state money for a new plant, and all the jobs that go with it. I doubt the new ONE million is enough to build a plant.

Personally, I think they should farm out manufacturing -- avoiding most costs and distractions. Until the company is profitable and bigger, use the facilities that eager job shops already have. Also eliminates any risk to WT of changing their manufacturing, which is expensive if you own the plant.

They could use a grant for R&D. Some have posted that there are manlifts at two of the units, and that people have been seen using them. WT has said that more patents are in the works, so maybe these are their test bed. I don't know how many assistants Mr. Brock has, but he could probably use an army, and probably equipment too, with grant money.

You mention distribution, but they can't keep up now. So unless they farm out production, I don't see why they want distribution yet. It takes a while to build a new plant.

I don't know what the holdup is with installations. One of their strengths is wanting the best for their customers. An excess of that is a weakness -- you think you can't sell something unless it has the latest bright idea that you are still working on. Dr. Visser's tests show that they have history-making performance already on the small unit. Haven't seen any for the larger units, so maybe they are still being tweaked.

So that's a Longwinded way of saying, yes, I agree with you.
